MENTON - France

With its sunny climate, shady streets and pastel mansions – not to mention a lovely old port – it’s one of the most attractive towns on the entire coast. Menton’s old town is a cascade of pastel-coloured buildings. Add a fantastic museum dedicated to the great artist and film director Jean Cocteau, as well as several excellent restaurants, and Menton really is a must. Menton is located along the famed French Riviera and offers nightlife, beaches, gardens, history and museums to explore.
Because of its close proximity to Italy, Menton can sometimes feel more Italian than French, from the culture and buildings to the delicious food (hello pasta & gelato!). Enjoy two days here soaking up sun rays, atmosphere, and the beauty of this magical coastal town. The nearest airport to Menton is Monaco (MCM). However, there are better options for getting to Menton. SNCF operates a train from Nice St Augustin (NCE) to Menton every 30 minutes. Tickets cost €6 - €13 and the journey takes 44 min.
